WordPress media on Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage
No egress fees. No API request charges. One flat price for hot storage that is 80% cheaper than Amazon S3. S3-compatible so WP Media Cloud connects with zero friction.
Hot storage at cold storage prices. Zero surprises on your bill.
WP Media Cloud connects to Wasabi using the S3-compatible API. Same setup as Amazon S3, but with a pricing model that eliminates the two biggest cost drivers: egress and API requests.
Automatic offload on upload
Every file uploaded to WordPress is pushed to your Wasabi bucket immediately. The CDN URL is written back to WordPress before the upload dialog closes. No manual steps required for new content.
No egress fees, ever
Wasabi never charges for data leaving their network. Every image, video, and file served to your visitors is free egress regardless of volume. High-traffic sites save the most because the savings scale with your audience.
No API request charges
Wasabi does not charge for PUT, GET, DELETE, or any other S3 API operation. On Amazon S3, a media-heavy WordPress site making tens of thousands of requests per day can accumulate meaningful API costs. On Wasabi, that cost is zero.
Pair with any CDN
Wasabi is storage only. Point any CDN with pull zone support at your Wasabi bucket as origin. Bunny CDN, KeyCDN, Cloudflare, and others all work. Enter the CDN hostname in WP Media Cloud and all URLs rewrite automatically.
All image sizes offloaded
WordPress generates multiple image sizes for every upload. WP Media Cloud pushes all registered sizes to Wasabi, not just the original. Thumbnails, medium, large, and all custom sizes are included automatically.
Remove local files after offload
Optionally delete local copies after offloading to Wasabi to free up server disk space. The Download Media tool can pull files back from Wasabi at any time if you need to switch providers or deactivate.
12 regions worldwide. Same flat price in every one.
Wasabi operates storage regions across North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Every region costs the same flat $7 per TB per month with no egress fees and no API charges regardless of which region you choose.
WP Media Cloud connects using the region-specific Wasabi endpoint. Select your region, enter your access key and secret, and the health check confirms the connection before your first upload.
- EU regions in Amsterdam and Frankfurt for GDPR data residency
- US East, Central, and West for North American audiences
- Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore, and Sydney for APAC
- Bahrain for Middle East and North Africa
- Same $7/TB flat rate in every region, no exceptions
Wasabi storage regions
$7 per TB per month. That is the entire bill.
Wasabi charges one flat rate for storage: $7 per TB per month (approximately $0.0068 per GB). There are no egress fees, no API request charges, no data retrieval fees, and no tiered pricing based on access frequency. Hot storage, cold storage, and everything in between costs the same.
For a site with 100 GB of media serving 500 GB of traffic per month, the Wasabi bill is around $0.68 per month for storage. On Amazon S3, the same workload costs approximately $2.30 for storage plus $45 in egress fees. The difference scales significantly as your media library and traffic grow.

Enter credentials and CDN URL
Select Wasabi in WP Media Cloud settings. Enter your access key, secret, bucket name, region endpoint, and your CDN pull zone hostname. Run the health check to confirm everything works.
Media goes to Wasabi instantly
Every new upload goes straight to your Wasabi bucket. Run the bulk offload tool to migrate your existing media library in the background at any time.
Wasabi stores it. Your CDN delivers it.
Wasabi is a storage service, not a CDN. To serve media at speed across a global audience you need a CDN with a pull zone pointed at your Wasabi bucket as origin. Because Wasabi has no egress fees, pulling files from your bucket to any CDN edge network is free.
WP Media Cloud supports any CDN that accepts an S3-compatible origin. Bunny CDN, KeyCDN, Cloudflare, and others all work. Enter your CDN hostname in WP Media Cloud settings and all media URLs on your site rewrite to it automatically.
WooCommerce downloadable products on Wasabi are served via standard CDN URLs. Secure signed downloads are available with Bunny.net (Token Auth) and Cloudflare R2 (SigV4) only.
